Our Community Service Programs

Leon County Chapter's programs and activities provide assistance to needy individuals, promote health care awareness and provide scholarships to deserving young people.

Locally, the Leon County Chapter of The Charmettes, Incorporated sponsors a variety of activities and services designed to serve our community like volunteer activities with Leon County Schools, Big Bend Hospice Tree of Remembrance, and John G. Riley “Rock-a-Thon". We also promote awareness of breast and prostate cancer at local football games.  Our chapter is also a “Century” member of the Tallahassee Urban League, A "Bronze Leafe Level" of the Giving Socieity with the Big Bend Hospice, and a “Life” member of the NAACP.

Annually, we contribute financially to organizations such as: The Big Bend Hospice, John G. Riley House Museum, Relay for Life, the Refuge House, and the “Light the Night Walk” for Leukemia and Lymphoma.

We also host an annual cancer luncheon  where we honor women and men who have made a difference in this community and whose lives may have been affected by cancer.
